You may have seen in the news that the national minimum wage rates have been revised by the UK Government.
This change will be effective from 1 October 2014.
As an employer you must ensure that your employees are paid at least the minimum wage, which from 1 October will be as follows :-
• £6.31 to £6.50 an hour for workers aged 21 and over
• £5.03 to £5.13 an hour for workers aged 18 to 20
• £3.72 to £3.79 an hour for workers aged 16 to 17
• £2.65 to £2.73 an hour for apprentices under the age of 19 (or over 19 but in the first year of their apprenticeship)
